Our approved panel

We work closely with an approved panel of commercial finance brokers who are able to introduce business to us. All brokers we deal with must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and a member of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers.

Simplifying the process

Commercial lending can, at times, be complex. Our specialist broker team are highly experienced so when we assess a deal we will always look to understand the underlying strategy of the business as well as the immediate requirements to provide the most suitable solution.

Our Broker team are based across mainland UK and work closely with our business teams who support customers on a day to day basis. Our aim is to build strong relationships with brokers and provide a dedicated Broker Business Development Manager.

The team undertake an initial desktop review of deals, usually within 4 working hours and provide indicative terms where possible (subject to normal due diligence and credit underwriting). Where indicative terms are acceptable customers will be allocated a local Relationship Manager to undertake a full assessment and provide a credit backed offer within 7 working days of receiving all necessary information.

Helping to make dreams become a reality

London city worker Denise Hill has started a new life as a guest house owner in the Kent countryside thanks to a six-figure loan from NatWest. Denise, who is from Bromley, purchased the Langmead Guest House in Ramsgate from its previous owners with a £242,000 flexible business loan from NatWest. The funding enabled Denise to leave her former job as a quality manager for a housing association in Croydon, to fulfil her aspiration of starting her own business as a guest house manager.

The Langmead Guest House appeared on Channel 4’s popular Four in a Bed programme in 2016 and was previously owned by husband and wife duo Derek and Lynne Love for 27 years. Denise now plans to give the guest house a new lease of life, as well as develop a calendar of community focused walking trips.

She said: “I have a friend who quit an office job in London to become a campsite manager and when I saw how happy this friend was, I knew I wanted to do something similar. I realise it will be a challenge, but I don’t want to spend the next 12 years of my working life behind a desk. I’ve always wanted to be my own boss and now thanks to the funding from NatWest I am able to take the plunge and start my very own business venture. The Langmead Guest House has a great reputation and it is in an ideal location to attract new guests. I am looking forward to building on its legacy and continuing its success.”
